Pretty Nice Really

A clean, rosy musk, with a faint metallic "tang" from the redcurrants, which I find very alluring actually. Not bad at all considering I usually find these clean musks a bit of a bore.

Potential for a Signature Scent

I ordered Essential blindly last autumn because there was a very good offer.
After the first testing, I set it aside. I found it to be a very pleasant and elegant but somehow also somewhat weak everyday scent, especially in terms of sillage and longevity.
The bottle is very well crafted. It looks simple, elegant, and high-quality.
I wore the perfume a few times during the day, occasionally catching a woody-creamy hint and was satisfied with that.
Then something olfactorily interesting happened to me. In a clothing store, one of the saleswomen approached me. She asked me about the fragrance I was wearing. She thinks it's so beautiful that she would prefer to follow me around the store :)
I was stunned. I can hardly smell the fragrance, but it is clearly noticeable on me and evidently in a pleasant way.
For the first time, I recognized the potential of Essential and then really tested it extensively.
It starts fresh, slightly citrusy, and I soon smell the blackcurrant. At no moment is it sour, but rather how you can smell them in the garden when they are ripe.
Then the scent becomes clear, creamy, and slightly powdery due to freesia and violet. Roses are also present, but I don't perceive them very well in the heart note here. Cedar and musk continue the creamy, slightly powdery impression, and in the end, a certain woodiness comes into play. Probably vetiver, in conjunction with the cedar, creates this twist. In the base, the roses, which are actually attributed to the heart note, really come into their own for me in the scent.
The pleasant, slightly woody creaminess on the skin is now much, much better detectable to me.
On clothing, Essential has more power than on my skin. Here it lasts at least 6 hours. On my skin, about three to four hours.
All in all, this is a classically elegant fragrance that smells expensive in line with the noble bottle, even though it is quite affordable. I find it absolutely suitable for a signature scent.

Modern Elegance with a Slightly Oriental Character

Essential is my second discovery from the house of Angel Schlesser.
A beautiful, elegant, and well-crafted bottle, it is stylish and fits well in the hand.
You want to reach for it again and again.

A wonderfully young, fresh floral bouquet with a hint of ripe blackcurrant!
But no fruity acidity...great that it's not there.
Warmed by sandalwood in the base and rounded off with the finest, very subtle musk, it gains oriental nuances in its character, but very refined and not overpowering...it is simply so delicious and seductive!
There is a certain spiciness that really tingles! I love it!
Essential truly has the potential to be a good all-rounder! Both at work and in the club!

Essential shows a relatively medium longevity of about 3-4 hours in warm temperatures and the drydown is delightful!
If the longevity were better, I would have given it 80%, otherwise a solid 70% because of the wonderful bouquet!

Just give it a try! At the friendly price, you surely won't regret it!

Initially briefly citrusy, then subtly fresh, light, and herbal. No flowers/berries/sweetness, definitely unisex. Lasts for hours! A favorite for hot days.
