fresh and clean

smells like a 'masculine' clean laundry scent with a hint of citrus. the lemon and bergamot goes nicely with the lavender, and i would say those three are the most prominent notes. longevity is okay, probably lasts a couple of hours at best, but it's cheap for a full bottle and the scent itself is fairly decent. nothing extremely ground-breaking or special, but it's decent and it's not a bad choice for a cheap clean-smelling cologne. non-offensive and doesn't smell too strong. solid for a post-shower fragrance or a quick outing for a cheap price.

oddly enough, i have gotten multiple compliments with this one. it's crowd pleasing. not a bad pick for a cheaper cologne

Unembellished Beautiful Writing

English Laundry is yet another kind of follow-up to GaoP 2016. There, the brand, which has a British flair but, in my opinion, comes from the USA, presented itself quite confidently with a portfolio of four women's and twelve men's fragrances - almost all with typically English names and elegantly trimmed company crests.

The rather generically named Signature stands out a bit from the crowd. Perfumes that bear this name are quite common - and it doesn’t automatically evoke positive or valuable associations. Personally, I have the impression that many little scents in the drugstore sector adorn themselves with this name.

One shouldn't get too many illusions here, yet this "signature" caught my attention in a rather pleasant way.

The approach is classically strong from the outset, focused on a woody-spicy base with soapy undertones. Yes, nutmeg takes on the serious role alongside sandalwood, while coriander expands the clean image. Not all ingredients really come to the forefront, but what you definitely perceive is a muted sweet undertone, reminiscent of freshly cooked rice or ironed shirts. Strength seems to be what is meant to serve as a connecting element here.

Thus, a thread has been spun to the theme of English Laundry / English Linen. Perhaps a bit conservative, maybe overall linear from start to finish with a thick line, without much development, twists, or surprises, yet it remains pleasantly warm, even though the synthetic base occasionally shines through.

Those who glide through the workday with Signature signal groundedness, understatement, and style, oscillating somewhere between calmness and reliability, without being immediately labeled as boring.

And if I were to continue thinking in boxes, this would be the ideal office scent that certainly doesn’t polarize and reliably accompanies you from 8 to 5. I can easily - caution, here comes the pun that this entire comment naturally leads to - sign off on that!
