A huge bouquet of white flowers

A strong eighties’ scent, this one. When spraying this, you feel like landing in a garden, fully in bloom. So many flower notes hit your nose at the same time. To me it is a bit overwhelming. I can not say that I do not like it - but in minor doses, perhaps. I smell Neroli, hyacinth, tuberose, gardenia - on top of each other. Like a lot of people shouting at the same time to get someone’s attention. A bit like Estée Lauder’s Beautiful edp. Really complex and loud.
I get aldehydes, black currant and neroli from the start. The aldehydes give the scent a chalky feeling, something I have noticed in other loud, complex scents, but perhaps my nose is the only one, that works this way. Then the white flower combo comes straight at me, and suddenly I find myself in a haze of jasmine, gardenia, lily-of-the-valley and tuberose. A powerful mix indeed. It lasts for a long time. At the end I get sandalwood and musk. But it takes hours to get there.
I am so lucky to have the wonderful splash bottle, that looks so great on the shelf. I know that the spray bottle is easier to handle and prevents me from using too much - but I adore the splash. Very eighties shape and colour, a bit like Magie Noire.

… makes us instantly recognize these scents from the golden perfume era of the 1980s?
It doesn't matter whether these brands and their fragrances were unknown to us back then and are often forgotten today: At the first moment of acquaintance, we recognize them!

I experienced the same with the fragrances of Anne Klein; initially unknown and arriving as a miniature perfume, it was discussed by me here as well.
In the meantime, a small selection of fragrance samples has arrived for further exploration.
I would like to express my heartfelt thanks at this point!
The miniature perfume has now also safely reached its new home and was, of course, immediately tested there and found to be pleasant in its concentration.
How wonderful: We could delight each other again!

And now “Anne Klein” shines at me as an Eau de Parfum: A bright early summer ray with cheerfully dancing aldehydes that bring their own liveliness and make their companions in the top note something special.
Just the way the powerful spicy-scented hyacinth harmonizes with the gentle, flattering beauty of neroli: Who would have thought to bring these two together and spice them up with fruity bergamot and tart blackcurrant?
Galbanum's smoky personality closes this fragrance part, which is already developing beautifully on my skin before the blooming garden of the heart note, overflowing with ripe scents, is even entered.
The noble and elegant ladies gardenia and tuberose meet here the sensual fullness of white, heavy jasmine clouds, which, however, do not manage to overshadow the lily of the valley's own aroma; these lovable little stinkers successfully defend their place and mix in cheerfully.
Thus, they all decide to unite and form, in combination with Ylang Ylang's summery fragrance beauty, a base for the rich vanilla-laden orchid, whose erotic radiance gives a first hint of the enticing warmth of its equally exotic sister.
This lazily striding voluminous vanilla goddess is accompanied by the base notes that make up a woody-floral chypre scent.
The two classics must not be missing here: earthy-moist vetiver and sandalwood with its always slightly masculine aura, which has always given fragrance creations that certain something, before a final animalic-warm musk blanket with wonderfully smoky resin effects from benzoin and amber is laid over this rich composition.

Over the course of its magnificent longevity, all fragrance notes have time and opportunity to find their rightful places and possibly even swap later: This creates a lively but not overwhelming scent progression, with interesting plays of light and shadow, as early summer often brings.
Interested and very taken, I follow this development on my skin and conclude:
This Eau de Parfum by Anne Klein will experience its well-deserved renaissance with me.

How rich and always surprisingly beautiful is this world of fragrance in which we are allowed to indulge here.
