A fragrance like a second skin...
Recently, a few samples fluttered in again. One was Acqua di Gio pour Homme, which you already know, and along with it this brand new Terra di Gioia. I don't have much experience with the Gioia line; a few years ago when Sky du Gioia was released, I received samples of Sky and Aqua di Gioia and only remember that I found Sky completely unremarkable but Aqua quite interesting. I toyed with the idea of buying it, but somehow I never did.
Therefore, I didn't expect too much when I tested Terra, but I was still curious. But mhhh... What is this? It smells wonderful. Love at first sniff. It smells of almond but not too sweet, summery, yet this one could even work in winter. Somehow pleasing but not boring.
You surely know those people on the street who walk by and just smell naturally good without really smelling like perfume. That's exactly how I perceive this beautiful scent.
Almonds, a few flowers, a bit of amber in the drydown. (a hint of sunscreen and warm skin?)
It sounds trivial, but test it!
I was looking for exactly such a fragrance, and finally, I found it, and it immediately moved in with me.
This scent is rather close to the body and lasts moderately long, maybe 4-5 hours, and while I wear it, a whiff of fragrance occasionally wafts past my nose, enveloping me like a gentle veil.
A fragrance for every day that is actually simple yet so special. A big recommendation from me.
Addendum:
After having the opportunity to test Terra in cooler weather due to the weather, I must say it doesn't develop as beautifully and warmly in colder temperatures. It's also perceived a bit less; of course, it’s still nice but somehow less remarkable. It unfolds best in warm temperatures. Pay attention to the weather for the first impression :)
