Camellias are not Chamomiles!
Hello! :)
Today I’m here to talk about the fragrance Eau Sensorielle by Lierac. Hmm… somehow it seems this brand only has one perfume?! But: After a little bit of internet research, I saw that it’s more of a cosmetics brand.
So, you can go ahead and have a little laugh if the brand is very famous. I’m not really sure if I’ve heard of Lierac before or seen it in stores, or not :D
It does seem very familiar to me, as I’m sure I’ve noticed it in shops, but like I said, I’m not sure :D Even though I often present women’s fragrances here, that doesn’t mean I have to be knowledgeable about cosmetics or many women’s care products, after all, I don’t really use things like… um… I don’t know, something like “Lierac - Silky Cream and Eye Care” or “Lierac - Supra Radiance Gel Cream Eye Serum for more radiance” or even “Lierac - Nourishing Lip Balm, Plumping with Rosé Gloss Effect”… and what on earth does plumping lips mean??
And it’s crazy that the product range probably includes more than 100 products,… that’s SO complicated!! No one can keep track of that, and surely you ladies can’t either, right?? I’m just glad that as a guy I can get by with far fewer care products, especially with much simpler descriptions of the products. Hand cream, body cream, face moisturizer, and a lip balm (but WITHOUT Rosé Gloss Effect!!) are really enough for me somehow :DD
Anyway, let’s get to the fragrance description!
A little later, other sweet notes come in, like amber, which is quite noticeable, and vanilla, which is even more noticeable. Although there are so many sweet notes present, the scent is naturally very sweet, but still not overwhelmingly sticky sweet, and I find that good!
Later on, most of the fragrance notes blend together, so that in the fragrance cloud, you can best smell vanilla (and thus powdery notes), jasmine, and a bit of amber. There are also nice, warm woods that you can’t really identify either, but it’s definitely not cedarwood. After about five to six hours, the fragrance is really only faintly present, and even the vanilla hardly radiates anymore. In the background, by the way, you can still smell heavy floral notes in the later base, which also seem a bit sultry. Although I don’t really like this type of fragrance note, without this heavy note, the scent would probably have completely disappeared a few hours earlier.
Hmm, I think Eau Sensorielle smells good. It’s very feminine, it’s sexy, and I think it comes across well. It could have been a bit stronger and longer-lasting, but oh well. Due to its weak sillage, for example, it’s good as a cozy scent (or of course for daytime use), as it’s too weak for going out.
For everyone who doesn’t like sweet fragrances, this scent is absolutely not suitable, as it starts off very, very sweet before becoming more floral. But for all those who enjoy sweet fragrances, this offers a nice scent with additional notes like woods and creamy and powdery qualities that feel very soft.
Since the scent is not overwhelming despite the many sweet notes, it is suitable for both warm days (best in spring) and cooler days (best in autumn).
It might be worth trying if you’re not looking for a sillage powerhouse but want something “quieter, more relaxed.” Aside from the weak sillage, my other point of criticism would be that it, as expected, resembles many sweet fragrances very closely, especially at the beginning. If you already have such fragrances (even if they should all smell somewhat different in their own way), then you really don’t need this one.
So… I hope you don’t laugh too much at my cosmetics knowledge… or my botany knowledge :D Have a nice evening and see you later!

Anyway, let’s get to the fragrance description!
The Fragrance:
The fragrance starts off wonderfully sweet-soft and floral, making it beautifully and sexy feminine. I mainly smell jasmine and osmanthus, as these flowers often smell very sweet, so I assume I’m perceiving these two flowers here, especially the jasmine. The scent is also quite creamy. At first, I thought I recognized chamomiles, well, due to a certain similarity to chamomile cream, but: In the fragrance pyramid, however, there are camellias! And I have no idea how camellias smell, so I can’t say whether I smell these flowers or not :D You know, I’m not really good with plants… but the scent is still creamy :DA little later, other sweet notes come in, like amber, which is quite noticeable, and vanilla, which is even more noticeable. Although there are so many sweet notes present, the scent is naturally very sweet, but still not overwhelmingly sticky sweet, and I find that good!

The Sillage and Longevity:
The sillage is still quite good at the beginning, as the sweet notes radiate nicely, but soon the projection decreases significantly. It becomes noticeably weaker in the next few hours and is finally quite close to the skin after four to six hours, so you would have to get quite close to smell it. The longevity is slightly longer than eight hours, but I would say that the fragrance is already at its end after four to six hours, as it becomes quite close to the skin, as mentioned. The Bottle:
The bottle is simply rectangular with a slightly thicker base that is slightly convex inside. It is filled with a golden-yellow fragrance liquid. The cap is also gold-plated and cylindrical. All in all, it’s quite simple, but still okay; well, it is a bit boring, though.
