Camellias are not Chamomiles!
Hello! :)
Today I’m here to talk about the fragrance Eau Sensorielle by Lierac. Hmm… somehow it seems this brand only has one perfume?! But: After a little bit of internet research, I saw that it’s more of a cosmetics brand.

So, you can go ahead and have a little laugh if the brand is very famous. I’m not really sure if I’ve heard of Lierac before or seen it in stores, or not :D
It does seem very familiar to me, as I’m sure I’ve noticed it in shops, but like I said, I’m not sure :D Even though I often present women’s fragrances here, that doesn’t mean I have to be knowledgeable about cosmetics or many women’s care products, after all, I don’t really use things like… um… I don’t know, something like “Lierac - Silky Cream and Eye Care” or “Lierac - Supra Radiance Gel Cream Eye Serum for more radiance” or even “Lierac - Nourishing Lip Balm, Plumping with Rosé Gloss Effect”… and what on earth does plumping lips mean??

And it’s crazy that the product range probably includes more than 100 products,… that’s SO complicated!! No one can keep track of that, and surely you ladies can’t either, right?? I’m just glad that as a guy I can get by with far fewer care products, especially with much simpler descriptions of the products. Hand cream, body cream, face moisturizer, and a lip balm (but WITHOUT Rosé Gloss Effect!!) are really enough for me somehow :DD

Anyway, let’s get to the fragrance description!

The Fragrance:
The fragrance starts off wonderfully sweet-soft and floral, making it beautifully and sexy feminine. I mainly smell jasmine and osmanthus, as these flowers often smell very sweet, so I assume I’m perceiving these two flowers here, especially the jasmine. The scent is also quite creamy. At first, I thought I recognized chamomiles, well, due to a certain similarity to chamomile cream, but: In the fragrance pyramid, however, there are camellias! And I have no idea how camellias smell, so I can’t say whether I smell these flowers or not :D You know, I’m not really good with plants… but the scent is still creamy :D
A little later, other sweet notes come in, like amber, which is quite noticeable, and vanilla, which is even more noticeable. Although there are so many sweet notes present, the scent is naturally very sweet, but still not overwhelmingly sticky sweet, and I find that good!
Later on, most of the fragrance notes blend together, so that in the fragrance cloud, you can best smell vanilla (and thus powdery notes), jasmine, and a bit of amber. There are also nice, warm woods that you can’t really identify either, but it’s definitely not cedarwood. After about five to six hours, the fragrance is really only faintly present, and even the vanilla hardly radiates anymore. In the background, by the way, you can still smell heavy floral notes in the later base, which also seem a bit sultry. Although I don’t really like this type of fragrance note, without this heavy note, the scent would probably have completely disappeared a few hours earlier.

The Sillage and Longevity:
The sillage is still quite good at the beginning, as the sweet notes radiate nicely, but soon the projection decreases significantly. It becomes noticeably weaker in the next few hours and is finally quite close to the skin after four to six hours, so you would have to get quite close to smell it. The longevity is slightly longer than eight hours, but I would say that the fragrance is already at its end after four to six hours, as it becomes quite close to the skin, as mentioned.

The Bottle:
The bottle is simply rectangular with a slightly thicker base that is slightly convex inside. It is filled with a golden-yellow fragrance liquid. The cap is also gold-plated and cylindrical. All in all, it’s quite simple, but still okay; well, it is a bit boring, though.

Hmm, I think Eau Sensorielle smells good. It’s very feminine, it’s sexy, and I think it comes across well. It could have been a bit stronger and longer-lasting, but oh well. Due to its weak sillage, for example, it’s good as a cozy scent (or of course for daytime use), as it’s too weak for going out.

For everyone who doesn’t like sweet fragrances, this scent is absolutely not suitable, as it starts off very, very sweet before becoming more floral. But for all those who enjoy sweet fragrances, this offers a nice scent with additional notes like woods and creamy and powdery qualities that feel very soft.
Since the scent is not overwhelming despite the many sweet notes, it is suitable for both warm days (best in spring) and cooler days (best in autumn).

It might be worth trying if you’re not looking for a sillage powerhouse but want something “quieter, more relaxed.” Aside from the weak sillage, my other point of criticism would be that it, as expected, resembles many sweet fragrances very closely, especially at the beginning. If you already have such fragrances (even if they should all smell somewhat different in their own way), then you really don’t need this one.

So… I hope you don’t laugh too much at my cosmetics knowledge… or my botany knowledge :D Have a nice evening and see you later!

Soul Massage
Holding hands, embracing, caressing, massaging, closeness, warmth...!
All of this I would associate with Lierac. A somehow healing scent, gentle, lightly chamomile, even though chamomile is not listed. Herbs that lie dried in a padded vanilla basket. Light, fluffy, dry and powdery. Osmanthus with its light peach note, mood-lifting, conveying a feeling of well-being.
It pairs perfectly with jasmine and vetiver. Each individual note can be smelled, and when you close your eyes, you can see them swirling around you, and you can, for example, tap "amber" and smell it immediately.
A small symphony of scents that conveys something of a radiant, white floral arrangement.
You wrap a large cashmere shawl around your shoulders and snuggle in, and that's how you feel with Lierac Eau Sensorielle. Cared for, loved, protected.

How beautifully uncomplicated white flowers can be!
The white flowers mentioned in the subtitle can be smelled from the very beginning. The scent is - typical for a care line fragrance - not complicated, but rather of seductive simplicity.
A slightly green opening, then bright jasmine comes in, and shortly after, the entire white flower bouquet in top cream quality. There’s a bit of woodiness sparkling in the background, it’s a bit powdery, yet everything remains beautifully feathery. I can most clearly pick out the gardenia from the bouquet, which adds a softly muted quality, but fortunately, this is only noticeable quite close to the skin. Perhaps there’s also a hint of bright rose in there?

Lierac "Eau Sensorielle" is a lovely typical, feminine care fragrance that indeed leaves a light, nourishing oil film on the skin and probably holds surprisingly well (even if relatively close to the wearer) and has a somewhat sensual quality. It’s not too soft, rather bright floral, creamy and full-bodied. In the dry down, vanilla can also be clearly recognized.
It’s not too sweet, not too dry, not too loud, not too light, not too clean, not indolic; it blends beautifully with the skin - how beautifully uncomplicated a white flower scent can be!

A good scent for every day, which in my nose is a simplified but very charming budget alternative to Chanel "Beige", possibly crossed with "Gardenia".

Conclusion: A beautiful, affordable all-round talent for the subtle signature and clean scent faction.

Edit: I also found the following list of notes...
Top Note: Camellia, Fresh Notes
Heart Note: Jasmine, Gardenia
Base Note: Ambergris, Vanilla, Woody Notes

Creamy-warm, very floral and well-groomed, truly beautiful. More suited for cooler days. Longevity is great, sillage is above average.

Nourishing body spray with a slightly oily consistency. A bouquet of sensual white flowers on a warm base with little evolution. ♥

Floral body cream... could also be a care oil. Smells clean, without soapiness, well-groomed and softly floral-creamy. Subtle and short-lived.

A nice opening with floral notes, but then the scent disappears right away. Longevity and sillage are questionable.

Gorgeous scent (~twin understandable). However, with an emphasis on the floral notes. Short-lived is welcome for me.. (-:
