Roses are red… no, leathery!
Hey hey, I'm back again and bringing you a new comment while I can hear your sighs because I seem to be overly present once more. You should be glad to have me here! :D
Anyway, this time I won't complain about your whining, after all, you must already be suffering enough because I'm back! :D
So, today I'm presenting the fragrance Calimala by Salvatore Ferragamo, which was previously listed under the name "Leather Rose." I’m not exactly sure what Calimala means, but Arte di Calimala was a guild in Florence known for significant fabric refiners, clothing manufacturers, and merchants who had a lot of influence. This guild was part of the noble guilds, whose members had many social advancement opportunities compared to members of the "lower" guilds like craftsmen.
It could be that the fragrance is named after a noble guild because the Tuscan Creations also represent the more prestigious fragrance line from Salvatore Ferragamo. But that's just a guess; if anyone knows better, feel free to show off your knowledge in response to my comment :D
Well then, on to the fragrance!
A little later, the roses and oranges seem to be the main notes in the heart, along with slightly spicy scents. The leather, which now smells more like suede, has become noticeably weaker.
Later on, the roses take center stage, as they have the most intense scent. Only in the base do you smell a few more fragrance notes again, although the roses still smell very intense there. In any case, the fragrance in the base feels softer due to powdery notes like vanilla, and the suede comes through a bit better again, even though the scent note generally remains weaker than at the beginning. All in all, Calimala is a very beautiful fragrance that is worth trying!
But that doesn't have to be a bad thing, as the roses smell authentic and beautiful; you just have to like roses, and roses are certainly not everyone's cup of tea. The fragrance, with its roses, not only comes across as very feminine (thus, for me, it is a pure women's fragrance and not unisex), but also a little more mature, so it may not be suitable for younger individuals. I would actually recommend this for evening wear or going out, as Calimala is certainly not a fragrance for the office, at least not in this projection or intensity.
It is definitely worth a look. Additionally, the fragrance has nothing synthetic about it, lasts long, is strong, and smells good as mentioned. Since the fragrance has a very strong rose scent and the leather does not return later or becomes extremely weak, I also think it’s good that the name of the fragrance was changed from Leather Rose to Calimala.
Well then, I'm done for now, and you're rid of me for today :D
I wish you all a nice evening, see you next time :)

Well then, on to the fragrance!
The Fragrance:
The scent begins with roses that come across as beautifully floral, slightly sweet, and slightly tart. Along with that, as you might have guessed, there’s the leather note that you can smell right away. In the background, a fresh, zesty note flashes for a brief moment when sprayed, which could be the orange. While the zestiness of the orange fades, you can still perceive this citrus note for a while, but in a warmer way, which is of course also very nice. The cardamom adds a spicy-aromatic and slightly herbal touch. By the way, the orange combined with this spicy note somewhat resembles the orange in Jo Malone's "Orange Bitters," which is also a very lovely fragrance.
The Sillage and Longevity:
The sillage is good, and with this fragrance, you will definitely be pleasantly noticeable for a while, as you are enveloped in a nice little scent cloud. The longevity is also quite good, lasting over eight to nine hours. The Bottle:
The bottle is cylindrical, slightly tapering in diameter from top to bottom. It is filled with a pink fragrance liquid. You can also see a golden label that matches the fragrance liquid very well in color. The cap is also golden, wrapped around with a dark brown leather band, making everything look more elegant. I find the bottle very well designed and beautiful. Conclusion:
So Calimala has turned out to be a damn beautiful fragrance, whose only point of criticism (at least in my opinion) is the rose that stands out a bit too much, overshadowing most of the other fragrance notes over time, making the scent almost smell like a pure rose fragrance. Okay, in the base you can smell other fragrances again, but even then, the roses remain the most intense note.
