He he, hello and welcome to a new comment from me. And although this is a comment on the La Nuit fragrance line from Lancôme, this time the screaming perfume you surely know has nothing to do with it :D
She recently just said that she would scream in my ears if I didn’t try the EDT of these fragrances at some point, but I chose to test this Musc Diamant all by myself. After all, I’m currently on this fragrance line and secondly, it’s also a relatively new scent.
Testing this time was much easier, as I went to the city quite early, where most people were still at school, university, or work, so I could test the scent a bit more calmly. Of course, there were still some ladies present with the fragrances, but they were more busy looking for Christmas gifts rather than paying attention to me. However, I paid a lot more attention to them… what I noticed is: Are leather pants back in fashion? Many are currently walking around in these tight and somewhat shiny pants, and I must say that these pants are even very… um… butt-enhancing. Argh… yes, I’m sorry, but that’s how it is. While testing the fragrance, it happened again. I’m sniffing my arm and looking at my phone to read the fragrance notes here on Parfumo. But with one eye, I’m automatically glancing at a lady wearing one of those tight pants and I’m just thinking “Wow”!! And then this lady wants to look at the cosmetic products on the bottom shelf. But instead of kneeling down, which is always healthier, as doctors always say,… she BENDS down and it looks like the pants are about to burst!!! Ohmygoshohmygoshohmygosh!!! That sight… those are the kinds of things a man doesn’t forget quickly and therefore gets easily distracted. I’m lucky I didn’t drop the bottle from my hands!!
While I’m still analyzing the fragrance, a little later another lady comes by in tight leather pants (this time in red),… but she does it right this time: She kneels down to look at the lower fragrances. And do you know what? It really doesn’t matter whether one (or actually, one should say woman) bends down in leather pants or kneels down, the curves are emphasized either way, and I… seem to be drifting further away… argh, I actually wanted to describe the fragrance here!!
I better get to the fragrance before I’m finally thought of as perverted, if that hasn’t already happened… argh,… *sigh*
The Fragrance:
The fragrance starts with the listed raspberry note and a lot of musk. Regarding the fruity part, that is, the raspberry, I must say that sometimes it even comes across to me like a cherry. It fluctuates between these two fruits, but it might just be me. The musk, on the other hand, is noticeable throughout and is the main fragrance note from beginning to end. The indicated violets are rather weak and probably contribute to the slightly powdery aura of the fragrance. I smell even less of the roses. The middle part is basically just like the top note, only that the fruity notes become significantly weaker, so that the musk stands out even more.
In the base, a little vanilla joins the musk, making the fragrance even softer and more powdery, and it also lasts longer. Overall, you mostly smell musk and later the vanilla-powdery sweetness, making the fragrance consistently beautifully distinctive.
The Sillage and Longevity:
The sillage has been toned down compared to some other La Nuit fragrances and is therefore not immediately filling the room. The fragrance is still good to smell, but not over longer distances and thus not really comparable to other La Nuit fragrances that usually create huge scent clouds. The longevity also seems to be a little less, but is generally very long-lasting, so it can still be smelled on the skin after ten to twelve hours.
The Bottle:
The bottle has the well-known gemstone-diamond shape, so the shape fits very well with the nickname “Diamond.” The bottle is white-milky this time, with the top shimmering reddish depending on the light. As always, there is also a (now also white) silk ribbon around the neck with the name of the fragrance on it. A beautiful bottle as always.
So… wow, the ladies in those tight leather pants were quite a sight,… uh… wait… actually, I didn’t want to bring that topic up again since I described it quite detailed at the beginning… but… why don’t you perfumes come to a Parfumo meeting dressed like that? No matter if a young “thing” in her twenties or… uh, a woman in her prime (uuuh, I hope that can be said!), such pants would look great on everyone :D
But okay, back to the fragrance. Despite my fixation on behinds, this fragrance fortunately didn’t turn out to be a total flop. On the contrary, it’s actually quite nice. However, I must say that compared to the other La Nuit fragrances, it comes across as significantly less bombastic and sexy. One reason for this is that it has a lower sillage and generally seems a bit more harmless fragrance-wise. Instead, it is more elegant and, like all La Nuits, quite seductive. Furthermore, the fragrance feels less heavy, so it could not only be worn in autumn but also well in spring. By the way, this fragrance can also be used well for going out, although it is also suitable for daytime wear.
So, you don’t necessarily have to have it unless you collect the La Nuit fragrances (like a certain screamer among you ladies here :D)
You can definitely try it, especially if you find the other La Nuits a bit too sweet or if you’re into musk.
Well then, that’s it again. I wish you all a nice evening, until next time :)
