Smells expensive (and actually is)
This is not the cheap synthetic oud that most brands release these days as I am afraid to get from anything called "Oud this", "That Oud", etc. even sometimes in this price range category....

I get a creamy ambery musky oud, with hints of leather and incense. It's nice and comfortable -- although of course, you need to like this kind of stuff -- and it smells expensive and natural enough. I do think that there is at least some amount of natural oud in this, but it's just my 2 cents of course.

Oud & Musk is not very loud, but it definitely has volume and presence. Another fragrance with similar vibes -- although not an oud -- that came to my mind was Franck Boclet Leather.

Overall, I would say it's nicely executed, although not terribly innovative. If you are into this kind of thing, I would recommend to sample it.

Cartier Perfumes: the start of a good song, that's never finished
Like a smart but lazy kid, Cartier is unable to make a mark in the perfume world (some might say also in the modern watch world) , riding its brand recognition card to get its stuff sold.

Smells old- mostly cause of the powdery effect. Very faint
Oud- I can't smell it.
Read somewhere old formulation (old bottle cap) was better- doesn't say a lot, as this is just lazy, and it wouldn't take a whole lot to outperform it.
Musk- a lot

Smells old and faint, like old bars of soap- projection is non existent (very shy perfume)
It leans heavily on the feminine side- so if you want to be a church going smelling grandma, here's your chance

I mean, I get it:
Target audience for Cartier are mostly 'old money' .
Not loud, sick of the world, like most old folk, that want to be respected and worshiped just for existing for so long, ridding on old stories (brand recognition) , and their bank account.
The intersting first note combination and shy projection, might be a symbol of 'few words and better listen up' , but come on... it literally makes you feel robbed of your money (if you care about them, of course) .

Way way overpriced

The Perfectly Scented Person
Foreword:

Oh, I expected the absolute worst after everything that has been said about this top animalic fragrance.
Even my sample provider warned me, but it turned out to be quite different than expected.

The scent:

Admittedly, the opening is a bit harsh, unkempt, and slightly animalic, though it’s not an animalistic scent but rather a human animality that unfolds for me. Perhaps the comparison to unbrushed teeth and bad breath is somewhat accurate, but only for about a minute. Shortly after, I directly perceive a powdery, dust-dry, and floral note, as if a large amount of iris is embedded. However, it could also be the musk, although I don't believe the scent consists solely of the two mentioned components.

This scent note is replaced by something that I cannot further define.
It smells human, sweaty. But not unkempt, disgusting, or repulsive, rather attractive, erotic, sexy, and lustful.
Like the naughty lovemaking of two sweaty and naked bodies exchanging their bodily fluids.
A decidedly sexually stimulating fragrance.
This note remains, fortunately, almost until the end on my skin. It becomes a bit woodier and more robust. One might think they smell some oud, but the impression mentioned above remains.

Longevity and sillage:

For me, quite disappointing, but perhaps a stroke of luck for others. The longevity is about 8 hours, while the sillage leaves much to be desired. With a lot of luck, it can be perceived strongly for 30 minutes, then only close to the skin.
For this price, that is unacceptable.

Summary:

I never would have thought that I would like a fragrance from Cartier so much.
It envelops me like a second skin. This is not a perfume for me. It is body odor. If only I could always smell like this. The perfectly scented person!
I would love to smell it on a woman to see if I would perceive it the same way.

Drecksschleuder
For fine noses, this is probably not a lavish feast for the senses.
There’s something fermenting and biting in the scent.
Slightly sour at times, with a lot of pep up its backside.
Resin that is almost rock-hard gives off only rough tones - the spices are already roaring at you.
Dry earthy tones that get excited about having caught a few rays of sunshine.
Animals engaging in the act. In dirty dwellings or under pitch-black skies.
Blows from the quiet protection of the night spread across the sensory cells.
A gaping wound, eagerly licked. The tip of the tongue dipped in deep red blood. Decay. Full moon.

Probably the werewolf among fragrances, giving off quite strong body odors.
Because Oud Musc is pumped full of a sweaty, underlying note.
There’s a lot of animal in there. Something dirty - fermenting. Something that only breathes to secure its own interests. Care about anyone else? No - it just wants to stay for itself. To wallow in the dirt. To drift away from all the sweet and peaceful stuff out there. To get really filthy. With splatters of blood, saliva, mucous membranes. Probably already quite dried up. Muahaha, it gives me chills. All that makes the average mortal doubt everything good is connected by this scent here.

However, I must say, when the Drecksschleuder first embarks on its deep dive, it doesn’t seem so rough and malicious anymore. It has something when you dig deep into it - there are slightly golden nuances again and a skin-close base that grins at me suggestively. But this is only for a short time - because the initially believed quiet Drecksschleuder quickly distributes all sorts of masses from the body that come across as unpleasant.

The scent itself lasts long. It envelops the wearer with a second skin that comes off as really disgusting, yet still makes a few interested in staring at the screen.
The sillage is more modest - it’s not there to captivate others (it would probably be more of a real murder weapon to get rid of unwanted people ;D)

"Les Heures Voyageuses - Oud & Rose" I found the most boring of the series -
This one is not boring but, in my opinion, simply unbearable.
Only if I want to be really filthy at home.
But only for myself...

Forgotten Toothbrush?
Every 20 minutes it comes back. Who? The traveler when his hour has come?
But no! The stink from "Les Heures Voyageuses - Oud & Musc" keeps coming back, exhaling its cavity breath, jumping back on the rollercoaster of scents, and smelling strongly and fascinatingly of aromatic woods and resins, sharp spices. Galbanum or a sharp mint, camphor would also be conceivable. I think I also perceive patchouli. Oh, and not to forget, a nice bitter-woody oud is always noticeable. I present these scent notes in the "space," as oud and musk are by no means the only fragrance notes in "Les Heures Voyageuses - Oud & Musc."
In the first minutes of the development of "Les Heures Voyageuses - Oud & Musc," I am fascinated; I want to delightfully dive my fingers onto the keys and give a laudation here. It seems to me as if the scent cloud above my skin is developing a kind of organic gas compound. Like those little stink bombs made of glass that used to exist, which emitted an unspeakable stench when broken, yuck. I can't decide whether it smells like the mouth of someone with cavities or, as Angua wrote: "pobackig."
So there stands a column of stench for a while amidst the beautifully scented surroundings.
Or as if, while traveling, perfumed with a nice fragrance, one has to go into one of those unspeakable stainless steel toilet stalls at a rest area on a warm day.
Or as if one is sitting closely together in a train compartment or car, and someone with unbrushed or cavity-ridden teeth occasionally says something, and for a while, this stench spreads. Then the others don't know where to turn their noses. The person closes their mouth, and it again smells innocent and noble of the previously described ingredients.
I think of these unappetizing situations because the name of the perfume "Les Heures Voyageuses - Oud & Musc" means "The Hours of Travelers."
Again and again during the course, this unpleasant gas column rises and disappears again.
However, "Les Heures Voyageuses - Oud & Musc" weakens after a while, becomes more pleasant, musk develops increasingly, and at the same time, the phases with stench are also not as intense anymore. The aromatic wood-oud scent always remains.
A uniquely beautiful combination of musk and oud as well as wood remains for a long time and consistently.
If only it didn't keep...
Recently, I tested Kublai Kahn by Lutens. I find that one more animalistic but developing very moderately and pleasantly. "Les Heures Voyageuses - Oud & Musc" smells during the stinky phases of unpleasant human odors. That feels a bit too intimate for a perfume. But those who find Charlotte Roche's novel "Wetlands" magnificent might just appreciate "Les Heures Voyageuses - Oud & Musc" for that reason.
"Les Heures Voyageuses - Oud & Musc" might be something for gourmets who enjoy scents with "Hautgoût" (please read the explanation on Wikipedia).

Oud and musk give a slightly woody and physical touch. In the background, white flowers and grass are set in a subtle way.

Forward, forward!
Edel Hippie smells natural, then floral, and later powdery earthy.
Why so rushed?
And why stuck in the 1970s? *

See the brittle wood of dead trees,
half hidden by fog clouds,
where a proud stag
listens to the raven's song.

When luxury becomes animalistic!
Dirty, damp-warm oud on the lips.
Sultry, panting cumin.
Sexy musk in the trap.
Filthy piece..!

A masculine, spicy scent with a vintage touch for me. Green, dark, and earthy. Oud is rather subtle. A nod to the seventies.

Pure eroticism! Two naked bodies smelling of love. Powdery, earthy, wonderfully animal-human. This is how a loved one should smell!

Annoying musk dominance that I can tolerate (I think there are more animalic scents), but I don't want it on my skin.

The fascination of the repulsive: Oud here not with the usual stable or cheese smell, but with the scent of rotten teeth, surrounded by musk.

Dirty animalistic deer musk and oud mess with medical undertones. Luckily, the trash has to go out anyway :)

Oud is rather subtle. First classic, herbaceous floral, then a more pronounced 70s animal musk. You have to like it.
