Initially pleasant, unfortunately not at all in the further course

I received my sample yesterday and was very eager to test it today.
I found the fragrance pyramid interesting because I actually like all the notes.
At first, I found the scent very pleasant and sweet.
However, after only a very short time, I noticed how the fragrance changed. Now it smells to me penetrating and disgusting. My husband says it smells like mothballs. I find it rather smells like stale perfume. Sweet but in a repulsive way. I can no longer identify any fragrance notes. I only took three small sprays and leave a cloud of the finest behind me. Sillage is therefore not so bad. Longevity is also okay; I went to shower after 5 hours because I could no longer stand the smell.
Very unfortunate, but unfortunately, it's not for me.

Hot Apple Punch?

Today I received a sample and immediately thought of Christmas... ?
At first, I thought of warm apple punch, sweet with spices, then it smelled of cinnamon and plum jam. A lovely, spicy sweet scent for Christmas and autumn :)

I am a Berliner!

My third visit to our capital. After the obligatory school visit and a half-day of shopping following a work assignment there, now a long weekend in this great, impressive city. Of course, I couldn't resist getting a fragrance as a souvenir. Since I had already made a purchase at Harry Lehmann recently and the exquisite offerings at KaDeWe or Galerie Lafayette were too expensive for this month, I chose Frau Tonis at Checkpoint Charlie without much information about brand & prices.

The location is tourist-friendly, the shop's aesthetics are minimally stylish, and the service was friendly, competent, and simply recommendable. There were also many great perfumes to discover; I chose the hanging heart, the powdery soft Accroche-Coeur, which even seems to be labeled as a women's fragrance. And yet, there remains a bitter aftertaste...

When an EdC in the store reminded me strongly of my Boston purchase at Harry Lehmann last summer, I just had to ask what it was all about. And I was willingly informed that Harry Lehmann is one of the two house perfumers. The other one is a gentleman from Grasse. As I now have to find out, it must be someone from Galimard. Because Frau Toni is basically nothing more than a mix of several perfumes from these two brands. Sold at a higher price in different flacons and packaging, perfect marketing for tourists. That I, as a die-hard perfume enthusiast, didn't know this is a little shameful... but you never stop learning. I paid €65 for 50 ml of EdP; at Galimard, I would have gotten it much cheaper, with what I think is a nicer flacon or even as a perfume.

And as if this doublet theme wasn't enough disillusionment and confusion, Accroche-Coeur also reminded me strongly of CK One Shock For Him back at the hotel... Really a shame. But it is more like a female version or an EdP of it, a stronger version. So if Shock was always too tame for you, you can give this a sniff. Instead of the tobacco of the CK, here you have more of a plum cake, sweet dough, fruity powder - most akin to Dolcelisir or even Ambre Narguile. The scent is certainly also wearable by men, despite the powder, flowers, and a festive kitchen flair.

Flacon: top sprayer, unremarkable flacon - uglier than at Galimard, nicer than at Harry Lehmann.
Sillage: cozy-autumnal - very sweet, but not too aggressive.
Longevity: experiences a second spring after 10 hours occasionally, but actually fades after 6-7 hours. I own the EdP.

Conclusion: a delicious mix of CK One Shock and Ambre Narguile - not an annoying purchase and a nice souvenir from Berlin. But still, I recommend everyone to rather shop at Harry Lehmann or, in the case of Accroche-Coeur, at Galimard!

Smells like apple pie with cinnamon. Nice gourmand. Better on the test strip than on my skin - there it turns into an unpleasant mix. Sillage medium.

Found it, the ultimate apple strudel scent with cinnamon. Long-lasting comfort :)
