Thai Perfume Houses: Panpuri

I first discovered Panpuri back in 2012 when I was searching for reed diffusers and room sprays with traditional Thai fragrances. Back then, the company was mostly focused on home products and made the best lemongrass, neroli and jasmine oils. I was also a huge fan of their Japanese style spas where you could enjoy onsen baths, facials, as well as traditional Thai massages featuring their signature products.
Fast forward to 2024, after a 5 years' absence due to a hectic work schedule and border closures in my country due to the pandemic, and Panpuri had upped their game with oil perfumes. That 2024 trip was a work assignment, with no time for fun or shopping, so I only stumbled on to the oil perfumes at the duty-free shop at the airport on my way back home.
I tested
Eternal Sunshine and I was hooked by the fresh, zesty Thai basil and lime. It was so simple and clean and aptly named, it was like a perfect summer's day had been bottled. I wanted to buy it right then and there, but unfortunately, it was sold out. The sales woman was kind enough to call the other Panpuri counter and secure their last bottle for me. I had to sprint all the way to the other end of the airport to get it, but it was all worth it, as it's been my most worn summer perfume since then, along with Figtionalism.
Figtionalism was a realistic, fresh green fig, that was more tart than sweet. Recently, it has been reformulated to showcase a creamier, ripe fig. This year, I've also added Oolong Ritual and Andaman Sails to my collection.
Oolong Ritual is a green profile scent, featuring citrus and oolong in the top notes, palmarosa and jasmine in the heart, and a base of vetiver, cedarwood and musk. It envelops you in a calming, serene atmosphere that acts almost like aromatherapy.
Andaman Sails is also a green profile scent that centers around green tea. It opens with a splash of bergamot that paves the way for the tea and the sandalwood and nutmeg that ground it. This and Eternal Sunshine are my favorite from their collection.

Their fine fragrance line features 9 other oil perfumes which are also sold in shower gel, body lotion, reed diffuser, hand-cream and perfumed sachet formats. They've also added a new, limited-edition scent, Lotus Eclipse, inspired by the third season of the HBO drama White Lotus, which was filmed in Thailand.

What I love most about the oil perfumes is the application process. You apply the oil on your pressure points and massage. I found that it's better to do it before getting dressed because if it hasn't dried completely, it could stain your clothes. The silage is absolutely amazing, but it does need reapplication after 2-3 hours.
Panpuri products can be shipped to Europe and parts of Asia.

The basil and lime in Eternal Sunshine sounds so refreshing, I definitely want to test that one now. So glad the sales associate helped you secure the last bottle!
The fig one sounds nice too, especially with the creamy/ripe reformulation.
Thank you for sharing, enjoyed reading through!
